NOBLE FOURS TOURNAMENT REPORTS

2012 "NOBLE FOURS" OPEN TOURNAMENT:

Noble Fours Men’s Open Tournament held on Saturday 7th January 2012 was a great success with 26 teams competing for prize money of $2000.

Teams were from all over the metropolitan area and as far away as Inverloch, the team from Boronia Bowls Club were narrow victors by one short from runners up Burden Park.

2010 "NOBLE FOURS" OPEN TOURNAMENT:

The 2010 Noble Fours Open Tournament was held on Saturday 9, January 2010 and it was a great success with twenty four teams from all over Victoria competing for $1200 in prize money, the competition was very close all day with only a few points separating all the teams.

2010 was the sixth year of running this event, the 2005 inaugural tournament struggled to attract many teams but now it has grown to a maximum of 32 competing teams from all over Victoria, making it one of the premier events in the local area, previous winners were from Clayton, Noble Park, Dandenong Club & Waverley Golf Bowls Clubs.

The tournament is open to all registered RVBA affiliated bowlers, and play consists of three games of thirteen ends and a cold lunch is included, teams compete for $1200 in prize money.

Game 1 Winners were: S Miller, N Smith, G Phillipotts and J Hunt.
Game 2 Winners were: J Hammond, J McCallum, M Walker and K Creaber
Game 3 Winners were: C Hartigan, B George, T Hewish and B Stingel.

Runners Up were: Lyall Shailer, Larry Povh, Ray Martin and Eddy Gibb from Noble Park Bowls Club.
Winners were: K Fawkner, D Flemming, K Eastwood and R Landolfo from Clayton Bowling Club.
